As the story unfolds,
additional drugs are being investigated by the FDA in connection with the fungal meningitis epidemic that has sickened hundreds of people in multiple states.
People are asking how this could happen, and they are shocked to find out that the FDA does not have authority over pharmacies. Many policy experts think that enhanced regulation is inevitable at this point. But is it appropriate? Will increased regulation prevent this kind of event from happening in the future, or will it simply allow regulators to punish the offenders if it does happen again?
Prepare yourself for these and other regulatory changes on the horizon, and gain the credentials to shape those regulatory changes. Join us in the
Online MSPharmacy program
in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida.
I invite you to visit our website and review our
. We offer specialty tracks in Pharmacy Regulation and Policy, Patient Safety and Risk Management, and other areas.
The program is designed for working professionals, so our live, interactive class sessions are held at night and on weekends. Instructors are chosen from among leading practicing professionals and academics who practically live, eat, and breathe their fields. Any professional with a bachelor's degree can apply. Pharmacy experience is not required, as our program focuses on the non-dispensing areas of the field.
Our next class begins in January. Call us if you have questions or would like to discuss a customized plan of study to fit your professional needs and interests.
