Position Summary The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of the CVS Caremark's standard formularies assuring clinical appropriateness, accuracy and clinical consistency. Responsibilities include leading clinical workgroups, enterprise formulary initiatives, and additional formulary related clinical activities to meet the organizational and marketplace needs.
The role will consult as a subject matter expert facilitating formulary decision-making process and continual enhancement of the formulary management systems for the enterprise, and provide direction to the internal partners to implement downstream formulary activities including adjudication, web/portal, communications, and publications. This position will also assist with the coordination of formulary activities to meet organizational goals, client needs, performance standards, and Plan requirements while ensuring compliance with established Policies and Procedures, Best Practices and applicable regulations and standards. This position requires attention to detail and strict adherence to timelines.
This is a remote role open to qualified candidates within the United States.
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure
2+ years pharmacist experience within PBM environment, and/or PGY1 managed care residency
2+ years demonstrated formulary management experience in a PBM or health plan
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Access
Demonstrated experience with data analytics in the managed care environment
Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills.
Mastery of collaboration and teamwork
Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
Mastery of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.
Mastery of digital literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
High level of expertise with data analytics as it relates to formulary management
Strong background in formulary administration
Education
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,200.00 - $225,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
